More than 1,800 people braved the late snowstorm March 28 to see the Oklahoma premier of the nationally renowned African American play “Jump the Broom,” sponsored by the Oklahoma Marriage Initiative.

The play celebrates the history, trials and triumphs of African American relationships.

Jump the Broom uses humor, song, dance and entertaining dialogue to raise awareness about the challenges of relationships and marriage and the value of family support.
